Terms of Service

1. What Vav is

Vav is a financial technology company and an orchestration layer that sits on top of licensed and specialist partners. Vav is not a bank. Vav never holds or controls your funds itself. Your crypto is held in a self-custody wallet that you alone control. Through these partners, Vav offers self-custody stablecoin (USDC/USDT) wallets, prepaid Visa cards, identity verification, and bank payouts.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a legally binding contract to use Vav. You must complete identity verification (KYC) before you can access regulated features, and you must provide accurate, current and complete information when you do so.

3. Self-custody and crypto risk

Your wallet is self-custody. This means you — not Vav — control your wallet keys and the funds held in it. Vav cannot recover lost keys or access, and cannot reverse, cancel or refund on-chain transactions once they are submitted. You are responsible for keeping your access secure and backed up.

The value of stablecoins and other crypto assets can change and is not guaranteed. Nothing in Vav is financial, investment, legal or tax advice. You are responsible for your own decisions.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Vav for any unlawful, fraudulent or abusive purpose. In particular, you must not use Vav:

• · for money laundering, terrorist financing, or any other illegal activity;
• · in or for the benefit of any country, person or entity subject to sanctions or trade restrictions;
• · to evade identity verification, impersonate others, or provide false information;
• · to interfere with, attack or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the service or other users' accounts.

5. Fees

Fees that apply to a transaction are disclosed to you in the app before you confirm that transaction. Network fees for on-chain activity and fees charged by partners may also apply.

6. Third-party partners

Vav relies on third-party partners — including Sumsub (identity verification), Privy (self-custody wallets), Interlace (card issuing) and Fin.com (bank payouts) — to deliver parts of the service. Your use of those features is also subject to the relevant partner's own terms. Vav is not responsible for the acts, omissions or availability of these partners.

7. Suspension and closure

We may suspend, restrict or close your account if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms, if we are required to do so by law or a partner, or to protect against fraud or security risks. You may close your account at any time — see our account deletion page. Because your wallet is self-custody, you are responsible for moving out your funds before closing your account.

8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Vav is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for any loss of funds arising from your control of your self-custody wallet, on-chain transactions, or the acts of third-party partners.

9. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold Vav harmless from any claims, losses or costs arising out of your use of the service, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Hong Kong, and any disputes relating to them are subject to the courts of Hong Kong.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app or by email. Continuing to use Vav after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
